maria jesus cuesta ilustracion libros infantiles

Maria is a creative soul. During her childhood, she won some Art Competitions and was enrolled in Art Studies with different teachers. After several years working for an international software corporate, she decided to change her career and get back to writing and painting.

Her big passions are her family (she is a mom of 3 avid readers and artists), travelling and especially writing and illustrating children books.

Her first picture book was published in 2016, Los piratas en Japón.

She has also illustrated 2 picture books for 2 American authors (first one available here and another one planned for 2017) and has created some illustrations for different purposes.

She is currently working on different projects, some children books and some picture books written and illustrated by her. She also works in different illustration projects for her customers and takes part in other projects and challenges such as MiRoboX and YouCanDoItProject.

Last April 2016 she received a prize for her story “Don Quidai de la Galaxia” in the contest of Short-Stories organized by Librería Dragón Lector. Read the details here.

In October, one of her stories, “Manuel and Sayid”, was selected in the contest “José Luis Gallego”.

She lives in Spain although she often travels around the world (both for business and pleasure).
