Relatos Sanadores – Editorial Gotas de Luz
“The dreams breakers” is a story I wrote. A boy dreams about what he will be when he grows up. But apparently, no job is good enough for those around him.
I sent this story to the Literary contest organized by Publisher Gotas de Luz and… my story won and has been included in the “Stories that heal” book (only in Spanish yet, sorry!).
Diploma Maria Jesus Gotas de Luz 2017 Relatos Sanadores
This book includes a lot of wonderful stories for children and teenagers (from 10 years old), and has the mision to heal a lot of them. This makes me really happy and excited.
If you want to get one, you can find it here. The revenue from the book is being donated to the Foundation Puente Gotas de Luz for patients with Alzheimer and other mental diseases.
If you already have the book and have read my story, I would love to know your feelings. Just write down a comment or send me a line by email or social media.
Thank you to all of you that are already telling me about it.

It’s here! It’s real! Los piratas en Japón, is the first book both written and illustrated by me. It is already published in Spanish and it will be published in English next June and this makes me very excited.
A hilarious story of a group of pirates who, looking for the treasure, get lost and arrive to Japan. It is recommended for people from 2 to 99 years old. You can already buy your own signed copy in my shop in this site, and shipping is free during Christmas or in the best Children’s bookshops in Spain (more info below). Thanks a lot!

The news I am writing about today, fills me with joy. Yesterday April 22nd, I had the great honor to be awarded as the winner of the sixth short story contest organized by the library Dragon Lector. The name of my story was “Don Quidai of the Galaxy”.
Although it is not the first competition I win, the last one was long time ago. I am very happy to have won this contest.
My work has been edited, and in addition to the award, I have received a hand signed copy of Don Quixote de la Mancha, with a nice personal dedication by Arturo Pérez, Reverte. Thank you!
And thanks a lot to all of you who are always supporting me. A piece of this award is also yours.
Now available at Amazon.com, Suzanne Russell’s book. Drawings were planned by Suzanne, and created by me. It’s about triplets that are pretty, pretty naughty… Although the style of the illustrations was set in advance, I am proud with the results and I wish Suzanne a lot of luck with this first book.
You can find it at Amazon:
It is official. I joined Picture Book Idea Month and I created 34 new ideas for children picture books during this month. 🙂

Rhyming Picture Book Month
In April I will take part in RhyPiBoMo. It is a great challenge for me. I love writing rhyming books for kids, but so far I have only done it in Spanish.
Not being an English native speaker, this is going to be a double challenge, but I cannot wait.
I am absolutely sure I will get a lot from the experience.
Looking forward for April!!
It has been years without drawing and painting. And I have missed it a lot.
But I knew I needed a push to buid a drawing routine again. So I joined the 52-week Illustration Challenge.
As I joined in February I still need to do a lot of catch up, but I am happy because I have caught my drawing bug again.
Please comment below on what you think about the illustrations!
To boost my creativity, I committed to the Picture Book Marathon 2014
It was quite easy the first week, not bad the second one, and a bit hard for the rest of the month.
But here we are!! 26 stories written (draft mode).
So pirates, witches, violins, orquestras, Santa, tailors, inventors, horses, pianos, hats and a very long list of characters are already waiting to be finalized and be illustrated and printed during 2014.
Thank you PBM 2014!!!
Dreaming to be a writer and illustrator
When I was a girl I always wanted to be a writer but for years this has been a difficult dream. But times change, and now it is time for all my ideas to come to life in the shape of both Kindle and printed books. There are some books in the works right now that will be released in the following 4 months.
A story about some pirates, another one about a violin, some delicious Spanish recipes, magic hats, witches and some other stories are getting ready to be published.
If you want to be the first one to receive information and updates about the books including release dates, how to buy them, free materials, special offers, etc., please send me a message using the form below and include the topic you are interested in and I will keep you updated.
You will not regret it!
